Solar Matters

K-W-L Solar Matters II is an excellent survey of what the students already know about the sun combined with an interesting fact filled lesson about the sun’s relationship to the earth. K-W-L stands for know, want to know and learned. The students will know that the sun is the non-living source of energy for all living things and that this source is a renewable source of energy. They will know how to trace energy through a system and how we can transform the suns energy into electricity that can be stored. This activity is an excellent starting point for research and further inquiry into solar energy.
