Join Recycle Utah for our free Composting Workshop on Wednesday, May 31 from 12-1 pm at the Center.

Yard and food waste composes approximately 30% of the material sent to the landfill each year. Composting uses a small amount of water and oxygen to decompose this waste, turning it into a nutrient-rich fertilizer.

This workshop will provide information on what materials can be composted and the supplies needed to maintain it, as well as tips to keep compost piles fresh and active. Additionally, we’ll discuss the many benefits of composting, including saving valuable landfill space, reducing waste, and improving soil structure.

Please RSVP to mary@recycleutah.org to attend the Composting Workshop. If you are planning on attending, we ask that you park outside of the Recycle Utah parking lot (on the street, in the gravel lot next door, or in a nearby business lot).
