Parent Resources
We love educating the students of Summit County about sustainability. If Recycle Utah has recently visited your student’s class, you may have a few questions about how to implement the sustainability practices we teach in class. Here are a few resources that your family can use to make sustainability an easy & fun part of your lives!
Curbside Recycling
What can I recycle in my curbside recycling bin?
Paper, cardboard, hard plastics, and metal cans are the ONLY things that can be recycled in your curbside bin at home. These items should be loose in your bin, NOT in a garbage bag or other plastic bag.
What can I recycle at Recycle Utah?

Where is Recycle Utah?
We are located in Prospector in Park City. Our address is 1951 Woodbine Way, Park City UT 84060. We are open for recycling drop-off every day except major holidays.
Where can I recycle glass?
Glass can be taken to our remote glass recycling bins at the Ecker Hill Park & Ride, Triumph Gear Systems, or Recycle Utah.
How can I start composting?
You can sign up for the Zero Food Waste Initiative to get your food waste picked up at home, or you can bring food scraps to Recycle Utah Monday – Saturday 8-5:30. Learn more about what food waste is accepted here.

Adult Education
We’re always available to help with your own sustainability initiatives. We see over 400 cars daily at our center and estimate that we answer at least 200 questions per day. Our Center staff is always willing to help.
Our education team is happy to do free staff trainings or consultations with businesses to improve recycling efforts.
Green Business Program
The Green Business program was initiated in 2016 by Recycle Utah, and has since moved under Summit County. With new partnerships, we support local businesses on their sustainability initiatives.
The program is free for any Summit County business.
Green Drinks
Green Drinks is an opportunity to meet and mingle with other eco-conscious people, and hear from local leaders about sustainability, environmental, and social advocacy issues.
Join us the second Tuesday of every other month.
Workshops/Panels/Films
We host various workshops throughout the year, from composting to zero waste. We also partner on local panels, discussions or films on environmental issues such as climate change.
