This family-friendly, free event will feature many activities including delicious food, arts and crafts, face-painting, refreshing paletas, guided nature walks, and exciting games. Come tour the Summit County Landfill with Recycle Utah! Learn about where our county’s waste goes and the challenges with waste disposal. Please carpool if possible.

The Three Mile Canyon Landfill is a Solid Waste Landfill (MSW). This landfill collects household garbage and is regulated by the Summit County Solid Waste Division and the Utah State Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste. Household Hazardous Waste is collected at the Three Mile Canyon Landfill to protect groundwater and surface water. When Household Hazardous Waste is disposed of improperly it can migrate into the environment.

Come tour the new 3 Kings Water Treatment Plant with Recycle Utah! Learn about how our local water is treated at this new facility. Please carpool if possible.

The new 3 Kings Water Treatment Plant was built in 2024 to improve efficiency, increase water treatment capacity, meet regulation requirements, and replace existing aging infrastructure. Come learn about new water treatment technologies with us!

Join Recycle Utah for September Green Drinks! We will be learning about the landfill, food waste, and composting. Speakers include:

• Tim Loveday, Summit County Landfill Manager
• Andy Hecht, Park City Community Foundation Climate Fund Manager
• Wasatch Resource Recovery

The event will be held at Este Pizza. Drinks will be available for purchase. Light snacks will be provided. Please carpool if possible!

Recycle Utah invites you to celebrate our local food, farms, and economy by joining us at our 9th Annual 100 Mile Meal. This year’s 100 Mile Meal is hosted at the Red Pine Lodge at Park City Mountain Resort, Canyons Village. The 100 Mile Meal will feature live music, local wine and beer, and a five-course dinner menu featuring ingredients sourced from farms within a 100-mile radius of Recycle Utah.
