Green Business Brunch & Learn

July 9, 2024 by

Join us for an informative morning as we learn about the recently announced initiative by the Park City Community Foundation to eliminate and divert all food waste from the Summit County landfill by 2030.

Hear from a panel of local leaders facilitated by Andy Hecht of Park City Community Foundation, including Jon Green from Savoury Kitchen and Carissa Devenport from Este Pizza, as they share insights into the challenges and opportunities presented by this ambitious goal. Discover the strategies and solutions being implemented to achieve this vision and find out how you can get involved to make a difference.

This event is a unique opportunity to engage with community leaders, learn about the latest developments in food waste reduction, and be part of a movement that will shape the future of Summit County. Don’t miss out on this chance to be inspired, educated, and empowered to create positive change in our community.

100 Mile Meal

June 19, 2024 by

This year, we’re thrilled to celebrate the 11th anniversary of Recycle Utah’s 100 Mile Meal—an evening that brings our community together around local food, connection, and a shared commitment to sustainability.

In addition to our signature farm-to-table dinner, we’re excited to introduce a new way to join the celebration: Recycle Utah Rendezvous, where we’ll reveal a first look at the designs and the vision for Recycle Utah’s future home. Guests who purchase a ticket for 100 Mile Meal can join in the Rendezvous for no extra cost. If you’re interested in purchasing a ticket for just the afterparty, click here.

It’s more than a meal—it’s a moment to celebrate how far we’ve come and to raise a glass to where we’re headed next.

Are you looking to reduce your water footprint? Recycle Utah and Swire Coca-Cola, your local bottler, are repurposing plastic drums and converting them into rain barrels. Join us on May 8 between 4 and 5:30 pm for a rain barrel workshop, for 30 minutes max. Rain barrels will be for sale for $40.

Is this type of rain barrel for you?
This type of rain barrel works best for homes with a gutter system – example photos are shown below. This barrel type collects rain from your roof that flows into your gutters and then intercepts water flowing down your downspout to the ground. You can read more here if the images below don’t answer your questions or give us a call at (435) 649-9698.
