The architect/owners will talk about the unique challenges in designing an all-electric home in a ski town addicted to natural gas. They will review the multiple design strategies implemented to reduce energy use, reduce embodied carbon, and improve indoor air quality. Chesley Electric will talk about the design of the solar panel array, battery backup, and monitoring system; Coyote Canyon HVAC will talk about the cold climate heat pump technology used in the project; and Red Ant Works will discuss the unique water saving strategies used in the landscape design.

Ken Wilson FAIA, FIIDA, ASID, LEED Fellow has been practicing architecture for 45 years. Formerly a global design director for the architecture firm, Perkins&Will, Ken’s focus has been designing high performance spaces that are sustainable and promote human health and wellbeing.
